Lake Eyasi is a seasonal shallow endorheic salt lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley at the base of the Serengeti Plateau, south of the Serengeti National Park and immediately southwest of the Ngorongoro Crater in the Crater Highlands of Tanzania.

The Hadzabe bushmen are the indigenous inhabitants of the Lake Eyasi as well as the Datoga and Mbulu tribes. A visit with the Bushmen is a great experience and one will learn about their culture and daily activities. Their language is a click sound similar to the Kalahari bushmen tribe. the Datoga and Mbulu people are pastoralists and this gives the area a unique blend of cultural activities.
