Welcome to the Majestic Mount Meru: Tanzania’s Hidden Gem
Mt Meru-
About Mount Meru -
Nestled in the heart of Tanzania, overlooking the bustling city of Arusha, stands the majestic Mount Meru, a hidden gem awaiting exploration. As the second highest peak in Tanzania, Mount Meru offers adventurers a thrilling alternative to its more famous counterpart, Mount Kilimanjaro.
Rising to an impressive height of 4,566 meters (14,980 feet), Mount Meru boasts stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and a rich tapestry of flora and fauna. Its rugged slopes are cloaked in lush montane forests, home to a myriad of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, and an array of bird species.
Your adventure begins in Arusha, Tanzania, where our Natoka Africa Safaris team will greet you at your accommodation and transfer you to the starting point of the Mount Meru trek.
Most climbers fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and then drive to Arusha, which serves as the gateway to Mount Meru. From Arusha, it’s a short drive to the Arusha National Park, where the trek begins.
