Our journey begins in Arusha, Tanzania, where our experienced guides will greet you and ensure a smooth start to your expedition. From Arusha, we will embark on a scenic drive to the base of Mount Oldonyo Lengai, immersing ourselves in Tanzania’s stunning landscapes along the way.
Mount Oldonyo Lengai is situated in the Rift Valley, approximately 120 kilometers northwest of Arusha. Our journey will take us through rural villages and breathtaking scenery, providing a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of Tanzania.

- The best time to climb Mount Meru is during the dry seasons: June to October and December to February.
- Avoid climbing during the rainy seasons (March to May and November) as trails can be slippery and visibility may be limited.
Itinerary -
- Depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to the base of Mount Oldonyo Lengai.
- Arrive at the base camp in the afternoon and settle into your tents.
- Enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by our camp chef and relax under the starry African sky.
- Wake up before dawn and begin the ascent to the summit of Mount Oldonyo Lengai.
- Trek through rugged terrain and volcanic ash, guided by our experienced mountain guides.
- Reach the summit in time to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Rift Valley.
- Descend back to the base camp and enjoy a well-deserved rest and hearty meal.
- After breakfast, bid farewell to Mount Oldonyo Lengai and begin the journey back to Arusha.
- Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon, where our expedition concludes.
